College Essay Coaching
I’m a college essay coach and I help students create stand-out essays to get them into college. Together we identify a superpower and develop a life story that highlights their awesomeness. Students come away feeling confident, proud of their work, and surprised to find writing enjoyable.
Everyone has a story, whether you are the uber-athlete, entrepreneur, musician, artist, writer, engineer, or scientist. No essay is the same. Each student is like a snowflake with their own identifying characteristics to make their essay like none other.
I love my job and I’d love the opportunity to work with your high school senior.

Francie and Tony had it down: A happy family life in a vibrant community with two fine young boys. Then she got “the call.” Tony was in a terrible cycling accident that brought their summer to a screeching halt. For fifteen months Francie protected Tony on his bumpy road to recovery and he protected his family from knowing just how much he hurt. Together they learned to never give up and to accept help whether it be a friend with potato salad or a lawyer who went above and beyond. Love was everywhere, inspiring Tony and Francie to stay positive and look for the community of angels floating into their lives.
At times tearful and funny, their experiences added up to finding love when they least expected it. Alive and Fixable is a heartwarming story about discovering the ability to survive the things you think you can’t and rising above it all.

Glamorous Chicken Wings for the Oscars
One of my favorite times of the year is Oscar Night. A girlfriend is kind enough to host every year, cooking up fancy nibbles to eat with sparkling wine. We dress in comfy clothes, maybe adding a sparkly bracelet or necklace to feel movie-star-esque. I bring my own...
When You Bring A Bowl of Soup To A Neighbor
I live in a mixed generation neighborhood. If you want to see babies in a stroller, they live here. If you want to pretend little boys are not hiding in your bushes for hide-and-seek, they live here. If you want a teenage babysitter or a teenage driver, gulp, they...
Cool Gift Idea for Movie Lovers
Movie season to me is from Christmas to the end of February. The announcements for nominees for The Golden Globes and The Oscars motivate me and my friends to go to the theater about once a week to cover all the Best Picture films. And if any are out while I...
