Hi. I’m Francie.
I like to read funny, witty prose and I like to write my own funny, witty stuff for others to read. My first fun blog, shoezle, launched in 2011 when I barely knew anything about social media or how to take a picture on my shiny hot pink cell phone. After years of amazing reader feedback and a zillion writing classes and groups, I got better. Then I got the courage to write a book.
In the summer of 2010 my techie hubby and amateur racer, got into a terrible cycling accident. During all that painful time, we shared the updates with lots of friends and family through..a blog! That blog not only begot another blog (shoezle/francielow.com) but a book: Alive and Fixable: A Road to Recovery.
After years of honing my writing craft, I have morphed into a college essay coach going on six seasons now. I help high school seniors write stand-out essays to get into college. I love it! Students come away confident and full of pride, and of course an essay. Win-Win!
I have since moved to North Carolina to spend my empty-nesting years. We love it! I share about my new adventures here, from California to Carolina, when I’m not on the pickleball court or editing essays.
