It’s really happening! My name is on a book I can hold in my hands and a bunch more are in boxes in my entry way and in the trunk of my car. It’s online everywhere: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and ibook. I’ve been dreaming of this moment for a long, long time.
Really, really, really. I did it. I keep telling myself that because I feel like I’m in a bubble; reality has not sunken in.
Alive and Fixable: The Road to Love and Recovery, is a labor of love I spent three years creating from writing to editing to producing. I say I did it because as I tell anyone else who asks, I am not Oprah, so I have to do everything myself. It’s kind of like being a mom, you do it all because that’s how things get done. I’m pretty well-versed on the mom-front so this book is essentially my third child. Heck, I even have to move all those boxes of books to the garage whenever I get tired of looking at them at my front door. I’m kind of not in a hurry. Moms can make executive decisions like that.
And I have to say, making a book is not that far off from gaining a new addition to the family. When I prepared everything to bring that baby, I mean book, to its new home, I was exhausted. Wiped out. And it’s been pretty emotional, like I never thought it would choke me up or make me watery-eyed. I’m still in disbelief.
I hope you will enjoy the book; it’s like one giant blog post. It’s a more formal shoezle-esque way of telling a story and of course a much longer one. And, if you hadn’t noticed, I am just me now, francielow.com, no shoezle.
Welcome to the website. I’m glad you stopped by.
Enjoy the book! And if your are feeling bold, let me know what you think with an Amazon review.

Well done Francie! What I really want to ask is when is the Audible version coming out (as that is the way I read most of my books these days!)? I am assuming that the trunk copies are signed by the author? If so, I’d love to pick up a copy from you. Congrats and even though I haven’t read it yet, so glad that this story had a happy ending… xoxo!
Yes, I’m thinking about audible, the next frontier. yes, trunk copies are available and I can sign ahead of time or you can bring it to the first book signing on 2/2 at Papillion! Thank you for your encouragement and ideas!
