Movie season to me is from Christmas to the end of February. The announcements for nominees for The Golden Globes and The Oscars motivate me and my friends to go to the theater about once a week to cover all the Best Picture films. And if any are out while I visit in Colorado, my sister and I will see one or maybe two movies in one afternoon!
The one film she knew more about than me: Hidden Figures, the film about three female African-American math wizards, in particular, Katherine Johnson, who helped launch the U.S. astronauts to the moon safely. The film was due out around my birthday in early January. I couldn’t see it with her but she could make sure I saw it and hopefully with one of my friends at home. My sister gave me a Fandango Gift Card, ideal for the girl who loves movies and the Oscars.
Somehow, gift cards are like golden money. I hold on to them for a long time, waiting for the perfect thing. With this gift card, the perfect thing was programmed into gift instructions. I liked having someone plan an event for me, something I didn’t know I needed or wanted.
When you need a creative gift for someone, the winner is: A movie gift card with the movie title attached.
P.S. Hidden Figures is my favorite, for lots of reasons.;-)

Love this idea from your sis, and love gift cards, in general. When I’m enjoying the outfit I chose or the meal I enjoyed at just the right time, I always marvel at the thoughtful giver’s “perfect gift” to me!
I know! The movie was super fun and super special. I would pass it on to someone with pleasure.
