Bloggers unite! Today, bloggers across America are sharing a holiday recipe or craft to show support for the community of Newtown, CT. I am honored to pay tribute and  to share the opportunity with shoezle followers. I want to pass on a Christmas morning favorite, Orange Upside Down Biscuits. I’ve been baking them since childhood.  As a parent, I’ve turned the tasty treat into a family holiday tradition for my two boys, my siblings and my dad for twelve years now.

I awake early to make my specialty. I’m bleary eyed but glad to do it for my family as it brings boundless joy and creates cozy memories. This Christmas I will rise with renewed spirit. Thinking of the children at Sandy Hook Elementary and thanking my lucky stars to have my kids in front of me, waiting with fidgety anticipation. It’s a one-time a year treat we cherish and now for even more reasons.

Join my family and me. Bake a biscuit. Send a warm wish. Pass it on.
